Arno Stienen (1976, Delft, The Netherlands) received his PhD in 2009 and is assistant professor at the Biomechanical Engineering Laboratory at the University of Twente (UT). He also has a adjust assistant professor position at Northwestern University (NU) in Chicago (USA).He was trained by Prof. dr. Frans van der Helm at the Delft University of Technology (MSc) and at the UT (PhD), by Prof.dr. Herman van der Kooij at the UT (PhD), and by Prof. dr. Jules Dewald at NU (Post‐Doc). His expertise and interests are in the field of human motor control, rehabilitation, diagnostics and assistive robotics, diagnostic, and computational modelling of neuromusculoskeletal systems. Dr.ir. Arno Stienen has published over 10 papers in the area of biomechatronics and human motor control.
