Nasrin Nasr has the experience of working on the stroke prototype within the SMART2 project led by Professor Mountain. The SMART2 project uses an interdisciplinary approach driven by mixed‐methods design, a hybrid of health and social sciences and user‐centred design methods. Dr Nasr is working with people with stroke to incorporate their needs into the prototype SMART2 device and will be involved in its evaluation in the forthcoming year. She is a physiotherapist by background, completed her Masters in healthcare studies in 1997 and was awarded her PhD from Sheffield Hallam University in 2007. She has mainly used qualitative methodologies in her research with particular interest in phenomenology, narrative and discourse analysis.
