"Showcasing research to promote active ageing: from Rehabilitation robots to Assistive technologies and beyond" organized by Kt Equal and SCRIPT/ACCOMPANY projects' UH team

This event will be celebrating the European Year for Active Ageing 2012, by showcasing research which aims to promote independence, despite the challenges of living with long-term conditions and age-related disability.

The event which will be co-hosted by KT Equal (http://kt-equal.org.uk/) with support from the ACCOMPANY (Acceptable robotic companions for Ageing years, http://scriptproject.eu ) and SCRIPT (Supervised Care and Rehabilitation involving Personal Tele-Robotics) European projects, will raise awareness around 'Active Ageing' particularly towards 'Independence', in line with the themes of the European Year 2012. It will showcase related research across a number of projects in which the University is involved such as Rehabilitation Robotics, Assistive Technologies, Smart homes as well as Health research on Ageing and Dementia.
